Privacy Policy
Everything HR is committed to safeguarding your privacy. This Privacy Policy sets out how we may collect, use, share, and keep information about you, and the choices that are available to you. Everything HR recognises the importance of your privacy. We have taken all necessary steps to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 and The Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000, (“the Act”) which includes the National Privacy Principles.
Everything HR collects and maintains personal information from the following categories of individuals:
- Visitors: individuals who use our services;
- Job seekers: individuals that apply for job opportunities as part of our recruiting services;
- Customers, vendors, service providers and other suppliers: those with whom we have a business relationship with.
If you submit any personal information relating to other people to us or to our service providers in connection with our Sites or services, you represent that you have the authority to do so and to permit us to use the information in accordance with this Privacy Statement.
We will take reasonable steps to ensure that all information we collect or use is complete, accurate, up to date and is stored securely.
Disclosure will only be with the consent of the person or where required or authorised by law, or when necessary to prevent or lessen a serious or imminent threat to a person’s life, health or safety.
This Privacy Policy describes our privacy practices regarding the collection, use and transfer of personal information collected by Everything HR in connection with our Consulting Services including information collected offline; through our web site; through our social media pages such as Facebook and Linked In, as well as through HTML-formatted email messages that we send to you that link to this Privacy Policy.
Our practices are detailed below on how we will achieve our objectives by collection, use, disclosure, storage and provision of access to personal and sensitive information.
1. Information We Collect
Everything HR collects personal information about you and your business (such as name, e-mail, phone, resume, address etc) when you provide it to us, including, for example, when you contact us via our website or social media pages, respond to employment opportunities, answer online assessment questions, participate in online courseware, or contact us via e-mail or postal mail.
When we seek to obtain personal information from an individual or business, we will provide:
- an explanation of the purpose of the information
- any consequences for the individual or business if information is not provided
- advice that they are able to gain access to their personal information collected
- an explanation of how the information will be handled and by whom.
We automatically collect certain technical information from visitors to our website, such as the Internet protocol (IP) address of their device, their login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platforms. We may also automatically collect certain information about their visits to our website, such as download errors experienced and length of visits to certain pages.
2. Use and Disclosure
We will only use or disclose personal information for the primary purpose for which it was collected, or for directly related secondary purposes, or if the individual or business has consented to the use or disclosure of the information. Some of this includes:
- Providing services to you
- Responding to communication we receive from you
- Providing information to you on our services
- We may also use personal information we receive for the purposes of creating statistics that do not reveal the identity of any person.
3. Data Quality
To ensure that personal information collected remains complete and up to date you are requested to advise us of any changes.
4. Data Security
a) All personal and sensitive information will be stored securely.
b) Information in paper form will be stored in locked cabinets with key limitation.
c) Access to all electronically stored information is controlled by password protection and only those members of staff who need access to the information to carry out their duties will have access to the information.
d) The passwords will be regularly changed.
e) When protected information is no longer required it will be destroyed appropriately.
5. Access and Correction to Personal and Sensitive Information
a) Individuals or businesses may request access to their own sensitive information held by Everything HR.
b) In some extenuating circumstances access may be denied. This may be due to requirements to withhold access by law.
c) Access may be by providing the individual or client with a copy of the information or by review of the information with a senior manager of Everything HR.
d) Our Approach for Processing a Request for Access is as follows:
- All requests will be referred to the Managing Director
- The identity of the person making the request will be checked
- The request will be acknowledged. If a written request is received this will be acknowledged within five (5) working days
- The acknowledgement will include an indication of any administrative costs that will be involved in processing the request
- If access can be provided it will be given within thirty (30) days of the initial request
- If the request is to be denied we will provide reasons for the refusal
